White Bird in a Blizzard, by Guthrie and Budd, is a different soundtrack. From Lakeshore Records, it does an exceptional job of creating a feeling, mood, or emotion, and is very well suited to be music for the winter woods.
The soundtrack to ‘A Walk Among The Tombstones’ by Carlos Rafael Rivera is a classic suspense soundtrack. Released by Varese Sarabande, this is a very well done OST that immediately throws the listener into something intense.
Paul Hepker’s soundtrack to ‘Kite’, released by Lakeshore Records, is intriguing from the earliest notes. Fairly early on, it is easy to tell that this soundtrack is not your model of a typical orchestral score to a film.
This soundtrack for The Maze Runner by John Paesano, released by Sony Classical, is a good fit for a dystopian styled film. There’s a little bit of fantasy in there, but there’s also plenty of action and almost nervousness.
Oscar winning composer Steven Price (Gravity) was tapped to take on this film, Fury, about a World War II military team. To be released by Varese Sarabande on October 14th, this is a remarkable score.
Brian Tyler’s soundtrack to The Expendables 3, released by La-La Land Records and Silva Screen Records, is a good example of what a modern-day action score should be like.
